Namely Raises $3.35 Million In Series A

Namely is a company that helps companies manage data and employee information in the cloud.  Namely helps organizations manage performance reviews, time off, goals, reporting, and team planning.  Namely has raised $3.35 million in Series A funding from True Ventures, Lerer Ventures, and Bullpen Capital.  Some of Namely’s clients include Buzzfeed and VaynerMedia.

“Prior to Namely we were running our company on more than a half dozen different spreadsheets.” stated VaynerMedia COO AJ Vaynerchuk. “Namely has centralized all of our company’s important data and is helping us to manage our people and teams far more efficiently.”

Namely’s focus is not employee communication.  Namely helps organize employee information and sync them across multiple devices.  Every employee on the service can be easily searched for, even if the company has thousands of people.  Namely founder Matt Straz sold his last company Pictela to AOL in 2010.
