Nintendo Announces New Super Smash Bros., Super Mario 3D World, and Mario Kart 8 Coming To Wii U
Nintendo announced on Tuesday at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event in Los Angeles that they are releasing several new Super Mario titles for the Wii U console. The new titles includes a new version of Super Smash Bros., Super Mario 3D World, and Mario Kart 8.
The arrival of New Wii U games will be spread throughout this December and early next year. Super Mario 3D World is coming this December. Super Mario 3D World will let four players work together to explore maps together. Players will be able to select Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Princess. Super Smash Bros. will be available for the 3DS and Wii U in 2014. Players in that game can select Mario, Link, Samus, Starfox, Metroid, Kid Icarus, Mega Man. Mario Kart 8 is coming in 2014 also. Other Wii U games that are coming this summer includes Super Luigi U and the strategy game Pikmin 3. Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze and action game Bayonetta 2 is coming out this December. Nintendo is also working on the popular The Legend of Zelda series and an HD remake of the GameCube game Wind Waker.
“We recognize that we have not delivered new software on a pace and schedule that we want,” stated Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. “We also believe that we’re rectifying that beginning now.”
Demos of the games for Mario Kart 8, Super Mario 3D World, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze will start at several Best Buy retail locations between Wednesday through Saturday.
