“Jobs” Movie Starring Ashton Kutcher Is Debuting On August 16
After premiering at the Sundance Music Festival this past January, the “Jobs” movie starring Ashton Kutcher is going to debut on August 16 in the United States. The movie has not received the best reviews, but Ashton Kutcher took the role very seriously.
Kutcher was a method actor, which means that he applied the same emotions, thoughts, and essence of Steve Jobs in the film including his diet. This led to Kutcher having to go to the hospital because his pancreas levels was abnormal. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak also said that the movie was not accurate.
The movie was financed and produced by Mark Hulme. Open Road acquired the movie as part of a service release deal before Sundance. The companies decided to properly market the movie before quickly rushing it from Sundance.
Other Steve Jobs movies that have recently been worked on includes one starring Justin Long on Funny or Die and one that Aaron Sorkin is writing based on the biography written by Walter Isaacson. Long is also known for playing the role of “Mac” in the popular “Mac vs. PC” ads.
