Microsoft Internet Explorer 11 Has Browser Syncing For Multiple Devices
On Wednesday, Microsoft Corporation showed a quick demo of the Internet Explorer 11 browser. Microsoft said that the browser was “fast, fluid, and perfect for touch.” You will need to download and install Windows 8.1 Preview to test out Internet Explorer 11 if you want to try it out now.
Internet Explorer 11 has a brand new interface that has side-by-side browsing windows. It also supports permanent tabs, which means that you can travel with your content synced on multiple devices. For example, if you have a Windows 8 tablet and are looking up a recipe while you are at work, it will show up on your desktop at home as well.
Per window, you can have up to 100 tabs open. The tabs have independent tab suspension “for efficient use of memory and battery.” Tabs will have faster switching and IE 11 will have a new option to always show your tabs and address bar for faster and easier access with the mouse or finger.
IE11 also has plugin-free HTML5 video, better 3D graphics, and built-in Skype support. The Skype support will let you instantly dial any phone number that is embedded on a website or e-mail. Internet Explorer 11 will only be available on Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 systems. It will eventually be made available for Windows 7 devices.
