Revolution Ventures To Raise $150 Million
Revolution Ventures is the venture capital division of Revolution LLC, which is an investment company led by AOL founder Steve Case. Revolution Ventures is working on raising $150 million for their second fund, according to a regulatory filing filed with the SEC. The new fund is going to be called “Revolution Ventures II.”
The Wall Street Journal Journal reports that the new fund has attracted around $125 million in commitments so far. The funds are expected to close later this year.
Revolution Ventures is known for focusing on early stage venture capital investments in technology-enabled businesses. Some of the companies that Revolution Ventures invested in include LivingSocial, Lolly Wolly Doodle, FedBid, Resonate, ExtendHealth, AddThis, HelloWallet, ePals, RunKeeper, and Zipcar.
