Sprint’s Lumen Toolbar Is Part Of Their Pinsight Media+ Mobile Advertising Plan

The stock browser that comes on Sprint’s Samsung Galaxy S4 has a button on the corner.  Tapping on the button opens the Lumen Toolbar.  The Lumen Toolbar plays a major role in the company’s Pinsight Media+ mobile advertising program.  The toolbar makes it possible to easily share content, find deals, and discover new apps for downloading.  Skyfire’s Horizon browser platform is powering the Lumen Toolbar.

The browser extension framework makes it easy for developers to integrate their apps, website or APIs.”

The Lumen Toolbar allows brand managers to set up brand campaigns like a time-defined button on the toolbar or the option to place their button on their own personalized versions of the toolbar.  There is also traditional static banner and rich media advertising inventory available within the toolbar.

The toolbar can be disabled or users can prevent analytics from being collected through the toolbar at their discretion.
