Life360 Raises $10 Million In Series B

Social startup company Life360 is a social company that helps families stay in touch through their Android and iOS mobile application.  Life360 has raised $10 million in Series B funding led by DCM with participated from previous investors.  Life360 has a family locator (using geo-fencing), messaging tool, and a private communication app all in one.  The company has recently passed the 40 million user market.  The funding will be used to further develop the Life360 product, fuel expansion, and form strategic partnerships with auto and home security companies.

“We have focused on building an app that solves real needs for families,” stated Life360 co-founder and CEO Chris Hulls. “This utility-based focus has driven rapid user adoption of Life360, making us one of the largest location-sharing apps in the marketplace and by far the largest family-focused social network. We look forward to partnering with our new investors as we continue to grow.”

This past year, Life360 launched a new Premium service that users can access for $4.99 per month or $50 per year.  Life360 Premium offers access to a 24/7 Live Advisor, roadside assistance, unlimited Places use, expanded location history, $100 in stolen phone protection, and location lookups for non-smartphones.
