Zoomdata Raises $4.1 Million In Series A
Zoomdata is a data visualization company that has raised $4.1 million in Series A funding. Zoomdata is able to use historical and real-time data to create the aesthetic visualizations. This round of funding was led by Columbus Nova Technology Partners. Razor’s Edge Ventures, CIT Gap Funds, and B7 participated in this round of funding.
The name Zoomdata is based on the company’s ability to zoom into a company’s data either internally or using a Hadoop cluster. Zoomdata allows you to quickly show past results and fast forward again. The visualizations can be broken down for deeper analysis as well. Data sets can be dragged and dropped into Zoomdata charts too.
The company also announced that they are one of the first data analysis technology vendors that are specifically focused on design for Cloudera Impala, which is an application certified on the Cloudera Hadoop distribution.
The company plans on using the funding to expand their engineering, operations, sales, and marketing. They will also open an office in Silicon Valley later this month.
