BackOps Raises $7 Million In Series A
BackOps is an integrated and web-enabled company that offers a paperless back office that provides technology, systems, and services to small-to-medium sized businesses. BackOps offers accounting, finance, and HR services for entrepreneurs so that they can focus on product and customer development.
The company has raised $7 million in Series A funding co-led by Sherpa Ventures and e.ventures. Other investors that participated in this round includes Google Ventures, CrunchFund, and Zynga chairman Mark Pincus. BackOps has raised a total of $9 million.
The company aggregates software-as-a-service platforms like Bills.com and Expensify using their APIs. This data is aggregated into a dashboard for various teams within a company. Businesses can receive notifications and alerts about their data.
BackOps customers get a team of moms and dads called Riveters (a nod to Rosie the Riveter) to work for them. The Riveters support around 100 companies. Riveters are crowd-sourced and they work full-time as BackOps employees.
