Mobile Enterprise Company Appcelerator Raises $12.1 Million
Appcelerator is a mobile enterprise startup that has raised $12.1 million in a new round of funding led by EDBI. Appcelerator plans on using the funding to expand their presence in Asia by opening an office in Singapore. Appcelerator is headquartered in Beijing, China. Appcelerator has raised a total of over $63 million.
Some of Appcelerator’s other investors include The Social Internet Fund, Mayfield Fund, Sierra Ventures, Storm Ventures, Relay Ventures, and Translink Capital. Corporations like eBay and Red Hat have also previously invested in Appcelerator.
Appcelerator is a mobile platform used by companies to build and design mobile applications. Some of their clients include eBay, ZipCar, PayPal, and Ray-Ban.
