Report: Path Is Raising $50 Million

Path is planning to raise a $50 million Series C round of funding at a $500 million post-valuation.  The company is reportedly looking for a lead investor and it is currently over-subscribed.  According to TechCrunch, one of the investors in the round is a “strategic private investment group in Asia.”

Path was founded by former Facebook executive Dave Morin.  The company has raised $30 million at a $250 million valuation.  It is rumored that Path is in talks to be acquired as well.  Google reportedly attempted to buy Path in 2011, but those deals fell through.

Path is a personal social network that is designed to bring you close to family and friends.  Path 3 has a private messaging service that has stickers and private messaging.
