Netflix, Inc. (NFLX) Shows “House Of Cards” and “Arrested Development” Get Nominated For Emmys

Netflix Emmys

Today Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) announced the 2013 nominations for the Emmys in Los Angeles.  What makes this year’s nominations unique is that characters in Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) exclusive programming has joined characters in programming that appear on shows across the traditional networks.  Netflix’s “House of Cards” was nominated as the best drama and two of the show’s actors Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright were nominated as the best actor and actress.  Netflix’s fourth season of “Arrested Development” was nominated for the best actor in a comedy (Jason Bateman) award.  Netflix received around 14 nominations total, including two for the horror thriller “Hemlock Grove.”
