World Of Warcraft Loses 600,000 Players
World of Warcraft is one of the most popular MMO games since launching in 2004. Unfortunately, the game is starting to lose their steam. As of this past May, the game lost around 1.3 million players. The game also lost 600,000 subscribers during the last quarter, according to Activision Blizzard’s second quarterly results.
The game still has around 7.7 million players. At the game’s peak, they hit about 12 million players. This new comes on the heels of Activision Blizzard separating from Vivendi. Whenever Activision Blizzard releases a new expansion pack, the company sees small spikes in subscriber numbers. The last expansion update was Mists of Pandaria.
