Pebbles Interfaces Raises $11 Million
Pebbles Interfaces is a motion gesture company that has raised $11 million in its second financing round. Robert Bosch Venture Capital GmbH and Giza Venture Capital led this round of funding. SanDisk and Xiaomi also participated this round as strategic investors. Previous investor iNetworks put money in this round and the company’s seed round. Chinese venture capital companies Shunwei and CTQuan also participated in this round. The company was based in Kfar Saba, Israel.
“Our technology revolutionizes the way people interface with devices. The company’s gesture technology enables smartphones, PCs, smart TVs and other devices to be controlled by natural and intuitive human gestures. In line with our vision, to naturally interface with everything, we can now acquire any object as an interface pod – be it your hand, your head, a smartphone, or any other object you can think of,” stated Pebbles Interfaces CEO Emil Alon as quoted by Globes Israel.
Pebbles Interfaces VP Business Development Doron Levit said that the company is working on a new generation of natural interfaces that can integrate gesture controllers cross-board. Any surface or object can be turned into a controller, he said.
