VividCortex Raises $2 Million
VividCortex is a company that helps you manage your MySQL database performance. The company has raised $2 million in funding from Jaffray Woodriff, Battery Ventures, and several angel investors. Baron Schwartz, the co-founder and CEO of the company, used to be an executive at another professional MySQL company called Percona.
VividCortex will initially focus on MySQL, but they will add support for other structured and unstructured databases.
”We see demand in other SQL databases like Postgres and also in noSQL stores like Mongo and Hadoop and we’ll be customer driven on that front,” stated VividCortex co-founder Kyle Redinger in an interview with GigaOM.
