CloudPhysics is a platform that learns from thousands of virtualized data centers so that they know what makes them run well.  CloudPhysics has raised $10 million in Series B funding.  This money is on top of the $2.5 million that VMware co-founders Diane Greene and Mendel Rosenbaum put into the company, according to GigaOM.

Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Buyers led this round of funding.  Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Buyers general partner Michael Abbott will be joining the CloudPhysics board of directors.

CloudPhysics has aggregated over 80 billion data samples of operations that are running in its user base.  CloudPhysics uses a software-as-a-service model that starts at $48 per month per physical server.
