Twitter Names Jennifer Prince As Entertainment Sales Head
Twitter has hired Jennifer Prince from Google. Prince was Google’s former head of media and entertainment ad sales. At Twitter, Prince will pitch ways that movie and TV marketers can use the social media platform. Prince will be the head of Twitter’s entertainment sales in Santa Monica. She will officially start on August 19th and report to Twitter’s West Coast sales director Robert Pietsch, according to Variety.
“All entertainment brands are working with Twitter, but they’re just scratching the surface,” stated Prince. Prince will hire a sales team over the next few months. “In my first two weeks, I’m going to meet with key entertainment brands to find out what exactly what they’re doing with Twitter today and where they want to go.”
Prince worked at YouTube in early 2007 as a sales team manager. She also worked at Demand Media as the head of branded ad sales and then moved over to Google in April 2011. Prince also worked at Dow Jones, Red Herring, Ziff-Davis, American Greetings, and TBWA/Chiat/Day.
