SolarCity Corp (SCTY) Opens Operations In San Fernando Valley
SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) is a clean energy provider company that has opened their operations center in the San Fernando Valley. These operations will be used for customers that are as far north as Santa Barbara County. The facility in San Fernando Valley is 16,800 square feet and will employ 61 full-time employees. There are around 15 jobs openings at that location now.
“Chatsworth alone enjoys 279 days of sunshine annually, which is about 35 percent higher than the national average and makes the San Fernando Valley ideal for solar power and the savings it brings,” stated SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) regional V.P. of operations for Southern California Jim Cahill. “We’re delighted to have a home in the Valley and look forward to creating more local jobs as we expand our services for homeowners and businesses in the region.”
SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) has 2,000 customers in the San Fernando Valley. SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) has started or completed solar power projects to around 60 school facilities in L.A., Glendale, and Simi Valley school districts. SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) is also going to provide the Las Virgenes-Triunfo Municipal Water District headquarters with solar electricity within the next year. The company’s new Chatsworth location was inaugurated with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Brad Sherman (D-Sherman Oaks), whom attended the ribbon-cutting event. “We continue to do all we can in Washington to help companies like SolarCity thrive so that our community benefits economically and environmentally.”
