Qualcomm, Inc. (NASDAQ:QCOM) has announced a couple of new products.  This includes a smart-watch product called the Toq and a streaming service called AllPlay.

Qualcomm Toq
Qualcomm Toq
Qualcomm is hoping to sell tens of thousands of watches rather than hundreds of thousands.  The Toq smart-watch product has a Mirasol display to provide a lit color display.  It does not use much battery to power the device.  The time is still visible even when it is not lit.  By double-tapping on the Toq, the screen will brighten.

The Toq has three-to-five days of battery life on a single charge.  The Toq charges wirelessly using Qualcomm’s Wi Power LE technology.

The watch has a swiping user interface, similar to the Galaxy Gear.  The Toq supports music control, text messaging, weather, stock tracking, a calendar feature, and e-mail.

The Toq has a built-in accelerometer and microphone.  The accelerometer supports fitness apps and voice commands.

The Toq will be available in Q4 2013.  The pricing is not yet known.

Qualcomm AllPlay
Qualcomm AllPlay
Qualcomm AllPlay is a wireless home audio streaming service that lets users stream music to multiple compatible speakers in their home.  Qualcomm AllPlay is based on Qualcomm’s Alljoyn networking technology.  Rhapsody’s music streaming service is one of the first to make use of AllPlay.

Qualcomm is going to partner with major audio manufacturers to launch AllPlay.  Developers will have access to the AllPlay SDK before the end of the year.
