Freestyle Capital Raises $40 Million
Freestyle Capital is a small venture capital company that has raised $40 million in funding. Freestyle is led by Josh Felser and Dave Samuel. The two of these guys are known for starting Spinner (acquired by AOL for $320 million) and Grouper (acquired by Sony for $65 million).
Freestyle has hired Joyce Kim as a principal. Kim previously ran a couple of startups called Soompi and Simple Honey.
The company invested in around 43 companies so far including About.me, Chartbeat, and AdStage.io. The investments range between $500,000-$800,000.
