Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) is going private as part of a deal by Michael Dell and Silver Lake Partners.  Shareholders have approved of the deal too.  So what’s next?

Michael Dell said that the the company has no plans on developing smartphones of their own.  However, Michael Dell is interested in getting into mobile security.  “Companies need to protect and secure their data on these mobile devices,” stated Dell in an interview with CNBC (video below).

In the past, Dell sold smartphones powered by Android and Windows Phone.  These devices did not become mainstream enough so Dell shut them down.

Dell has plans to focus more on business products and services.  The company will also focus heavily on tablet development.
