Jennifer Velasquez saw a stray dog on Google Maps’ Street View standing alone outside of an abandoned building.  Velasquez was unable to determine how to find the abandoned dog (named Sonya) at first, but then she saw a viral video about the dog’s rescue.  From that point, she called Hope For Paws.

Hope For Paws’ Eldad Hagar went looking for Sonya and found her where Google Maps showed that she would be.  Sony has been around there for 10 years according to a business owner.

Hagar brought in Sonya for grooming and medical treatment.  Hagar removed several of Sonya’s tumors and broken teeth.  Now Sonya is in foster care.  This is how Google Street View helped a stray dog get proper care.
