International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) has announced that they have acquired Daeja Image Systems Ltd.  Daeja is a company that designs software that makes it easier for businesses and IT professionals to view large documents and images.  Daeja is a private company based in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.  The terms of the acquisition was undisclosed.

Daeja’s software can help business employees across various industries analyze data, especially information related to banking, insurance, and healthcare.  Daeja users can open and view hundreds of images and documents, even if the native application is not available on their devices.

“IBM is continuing to lead the way in helping organizations access the content they rely upon for everyday operations,” stated IBM Enterprise Content Management Business Leader Doug Hunt. “The acquisition of Daeja will simplify how business data is viewed by department or line-of-business users.”

“As a longtime business partner, Daeja has integrated its solutions with IBM solutions for more than a decade,” stated Daeja chief executive officer Stu Moss. “With our combined strengths, we can help clients manage their data challenges and directly enhance IBM’s key market initiatives for big data, mobile, and content management.”
