The Obama administration has launched the new health insurance exchange.  The Health Insurance Marketplace aims to bring health care to millions of Americans that were previously uninsured.  People can now apply for coverage under the exchange.  Benefits will start as soon as January 1st.

The Affordable Care Act (nicknamed Obamacare) will require individuals to carry health insurance and the exchange will make this easier.  Healthcare.gov helps you find plans that covers pre-existing conditions and preventive services as well.

You can apply for a new plan here.
