Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is going to open up their first Supercharger station in North Carolina on October 17th (this Thursday).  The Supercharger will be located at the Carousel Luxury Cinemas parking lot at 1080 Piper Lane in Burlington, North Carolina along I-85.

The Supercharger will have eight charging stalls there.  Tesla already has charging stations in 27 other states.  Charging a Tesla vehicle is free and it takes around 80 minutes to fully charge a vehicle.

Superchargers provide up to 120 kilowatts of power and can replenish half a charge in twenty minutes.  Tesla has plans to speed up the charging process beyond their current capabilities sometime in the near future.
