Zynga Inc (ZNGA) Co-Founder Justin Waldron Steps Down

Justin Waldron
Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) co-founder Justin Waldron is stepping down from the company after working there for six and a half years. Waldron did not specify what he would be doing next.

“I’ve decided it’s time to leave zynga and venture off on my own again. It’s been 6 and a half years since we pushed the button to launch our first game, and each moment since has been magic,” said Waldron on his Facebook Page.  “It’s incredibly humbling to have worked with such a talented team. I am grateful to have had the chance to help build a company that touched so many people. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of it- both in the trenches and for playing the games.”

Waldron joined Zynga after he was approached by Eric Schiermeyer and Mark Pincus to create a poker game with social elements.  Waldron dropped out of school to join Zynga shortly after that.

Waldron is also known for being an angel investor as he has put money in InstantCab, RedHotLabs, and Delectable. Waldron works at i/o ventures and The Thiel Foundation as a mentor as well.
