Google Inc (GOOG) Acquires FlexyCore For $23 million

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) has acquired France-based FlexyCore for $23 million.  FlexyCore is known for improving the functionality of Android.  Google paid 16.9 miliion euros ($23.1 million) for the acquisition.

FlexyCore’s app DroidBooster has been removed from the Google Play store after the acquisition was announced.

Founded in 2008, FlexyCore optimizes Android’s performance for carriers and manufacturers, according to CNET.

Google said that the FlexyCore team will be a “great fit” on the Android team.
