Rochester Optical’s Google Glass Prescription Lenses To Arrive In January

Google Glass
New York based Rochester Optical has confirmed that they will be releasing a special prescription lens add-on for Google Glass in January 2014.  Rochester Optical is teaming up with one of the early Google Glass Explorers, Tim Moore, on the project.

The Google Glass device with the prescription lenses will be priced in the same range as the standard prescription lenses.  The customers will be able to visit a website where they can choose a matching color for their existing device and input their prescription.  The lenses would arrive within two business days from that point.

“The arm mount will fit Google Glass perfectly, and it will be available in a number of colors that will match Glass colors,” stated Moore in an interview with Mashable.

It is worth noting that Google is not involved in this project in any form.  Rochester Optical has been building glasses products for the last 80 years.
