Nokia’s Shareholders Have Approved Of The Microsoft Deal
Nokia shareholders have approved of the Microsoft acquisition. At a meeting in Helsinki on Tuesday morning, investors agreed to the $7.35 billion deal. Microsoft will get Nokia’s devices and services businesses and will license Nokia’s mapping services. The deal was unanimously approved ahead of the meeting with around 99.7% of shareholders registered voting in favor of the deal. Nokia used to be the largest manufacturer of cellphones. Now they will transition into a telecommunications equipment and services firm.
