Data Center Service SimpliVity Raises $58 Million

SimpliVity is a startup that has a goal of revamping the data center market.  SimpliVity has raised a $58 million round of funding.  This round of funding was co-led by existing investor Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and DFJ Growth.  They were joined by Meritech Capital Partners, Swisscom Ventures, Accel Partners, and Charles River Ventures.

 

SimpliVity is known for developing a product called the OmniCube.  The OmniCube is an all-in-one IT infrastructure platform that can deliver enterprise data center functionality with ease and reliability.  Each OmniCube offers compute, storage, networking, cache accelerated performance, and networking for public cloud integration.

“We are very happy about the addition of DFJ Growth, Meritech and Swisscom to the SimpliVity family,” stated Doron Kempel, CEO of SimpliVity. “We intend to use the funds in order to accelerate product development and all facets of our business, globally.”
