Comcast Is Adding $1.50 “Broadcast TV Fee” In 2014

Next year, Comcast Corporation is adding a new $1.50 charge for a “Broadcast TV Fee.” Rather than increasing rates for limited basic and digital preferred service, Comcast is adding the Broadcast TV Fee.  Comcast added the fee to deal with rising retransmission consent payments.

“In recent years, the cost of retransmitting broadcast television signals has increased significantly, and we want to address these more recent increases through a separate itemized charge so that they are clear to you,” stated Comcast.

Charter and AT&T U-verse have similar fees.

I bought an over the air digital TV antenna. My fee per month is $0.00. Just to be clear how much these media companies rip us off.
