Supersolid Raises Funding From Index Capital And Initial Capital
Supersolid has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Index Ventures and Initial Capital. The funding will be used to expand their team in London and former new partnerships. It will also be used for expanding the distribution of their games around the world. Supersolid’s mobile game studio is based in the U.K.
“Adventure Town has been designed to be widely appealing to casual gamers on smart phones and tablets, while also offering depth of content that keeps players engaged in the long term,” stated Kenneth Fejer, co-founder and creative director at Supersolid. Adventure Town players rebuilds a destroyed town and attracts heroes to defeat monsters.
Adventure Town is available for free in 12 languages in iOS and Android devices. It will soon be available on the Kindle Fire and Windows Phone 8.
Some of the developers at the company have helped built popular games for Playfish such as Pet Society and Restaurant City. They have developed over 70 games altogether over the last 10 years.
