There is a new Chrome extension that lets you conduct searches on Google simply by speaking out loud. The browser extension is known as Google Voice Search Hotword and it is available on the Chrome Web Store.

The feature is currently available in beta. You can perform a voice search by going to Google.com and saying “OK Google.”  Then you just have to say what you are searching for.

You can also set timers by saying commands like “OK Google, set a timer for 20 minutes” or “remind me to buy milk tomorrow.” The active tab in the Chrome browser has to be Google.com for the extension to be functional.
