Spotify may launch free mobile access on December 11th
Spotify may be offering mobile access to their music service for free, according to The Wall Street Journal. The free mobile tier will be launching on December 11th at a press event in New York. Users will not get unlimited on-demand access, but it will be less restricted if they listen to playlists or collections that they created. Spotify sent out press passes to the event last week saying “We’re having a media event. Like to come? There will be donuts.” Spotify’s mobile app is free to download, but only the “radio” can be accessed. After paying a monthly fee, Spotify will let you access any album, artist, or playlist you have created.
