SugarSync has announced that they are turning into a paid-only model. SugarSync lets you back up, access, sync, and share files and folders across computers and mobile devices. The company will become paid only on February 8, 2014. SugarSync supports a 90-day 5GB trial or a 30-day trial that is upwards of 60GB.

“There are many companies in this space that are giving away free storage, however, most of these companies will not be viable. We are already in a solid financial position and this shift will further strengthen our business,” stated SugarSync CEO Mike Grossman. “Also, this change will allow us to better serve loyal customers and expand our service offerings. We’re excited about the next stage in our growth and confident that our customers and new users alike will achieve greater value through these enhancements.”

To replace Sugarsync, I try a dozen of cloud software during the last two days.
I eventually found Cubby, it really allows for choosing folders, then, on the other device, it asks for merge or add the folder, like sugarsync.
Same policy; 5 Gb plus one Gb for each friend you bring to Cubby.
