SDN company VIPtela raises $33 million
Software-defined networking company VIPtela has raised $33 million in funding led by Sequoia Capital. VIPtela’s CEO Amir Khan worked at Juniper Networks as product manager for three years and spent five years at Cisco Systems. VIPtela CTO Khalid Raza worked at HP for a year as a distinguished technologist after working at Cisco for 18 years. The other early employees worked at Alcatel-Lucent. VIPtela will help large companies use software for building and securing wide-area networks.
