Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has just lost a trademark case in New Zealand. Fortunately, this case will not really affect Apple’s sales. The case was in regards to a small product called the “driPhone.” Apple objected to the driPhone trademark because they believed it was too close to their own trademark. It is a major victory for trademark owner Hayden Crowther. The driPhone is waterproof phone case that Crowther put together. Not only did the court throw out the case, but they also ordered the company to pay Crowther’s court cases.
