Breaker has raised $2 million in a seed round of funding. Dream Incubator was the lead investor in this round with participation from Siemer Ventures. Breaker is a mobile video distribution company that is based in Tokyo.

Breaker was started by digital media venture studio Designed for Revolution Ltd. (DFR Asia). Breaker’s co-founder and chief innovator Ken Sekine is known for being a popular Japanese YouTube user and is a popular comedian. Sekine generated over 235 million views for the MegwinTV YouTube channel.

“I have seen the future and it is Breaker. We intend to do a lot of breaking—breaking down barriers, breaking new ground, and breaking new talent. And Megwin will keep ‘breaking’ and evolving as well,” said Sekine in a statement.
