Qualcomm is going to be showcasing a new technology at CES called the Qualcomm Ultra Sound NotePad. The Qualcomm Ultra Sound NotePad will be able to convert writing on real paper to digital form and display it on a smartphone or tablet. The Qualcomm Ultra Sound NotePad uses tiny ultrasonic microphones that monitors vibrations made by the user writing on real paper. The Snapdragon 805 processor can convert the data into digital form and make it appear on the screen.

There are several ways that this device could come in handy: 1.) This makes it possible for students to digitize notes and edit them later through the use of OCR. 2.) You can fill out a form at an office and have your computer digitize it without the need to scan it. 3.) Artists can quickly post their works online.
