The ASUS PadFone Mini is coming to the U.S. for $249

At CES, Asus announced a new smartphone called the PadFone Mini, which is a smaller version of the Asus PadFone X smartphone/tablet hybrid. The PadFone Mini has a 4-inch IPS+ display with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution and Android 4.3 operating system (can be upgraded to Android 4.4). The PadFone Mini has a non-removable 1,170mAh battery.

 

The PadFone Mini does not support LTE, but it has dual SIMs for people that want two separate phone numbers. The PadFone Mini has a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and 8-megapixel rear-facing camera. The lens of the phone has a backside-illumination sensor from Sony and it has an f/2.0 aperture.

It can shoot videos in 1080p. The PadFone Mini has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage space. The PadFone Mini is available in five colors – black, white, red, blue, and yellow. The PadFone Mini is coming to the U.S. with a price of $249.
