Asus has announced the VivoTab Note 8. The VivoTab Note 8 is an 8-inch Windows 8.1 tablet that has a 1280 x 800 display. It comes with a Wacom digitizer.

By providing a stylus with the tablet, Asus seems to be catering to people that want to write down notes naturally. The VivoTab 8 has an an Intel Atom Z3740 Bay Trail processor, 2GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of storage. There is a microSD slot that lets you boost storage in the device. Unfortunately, there’s not microHDMI port to expand the device to a monitor.

The VivoTab Note 8 has a price of $299, but there’s no exact release date yet. A 32GB version of the tablet costs $299 and a 64GB version costs $349. Both models will be available in Q1 or Q2.
