Intel is rebranding McAfee to Intel Security

Intel CEO Brian Krzanich has announced that they are rebranding McAfee to Intel Security. I suspect that Intel wants to separate their company as much as possible from McAfee founder John McAfee. John McAfee has been suspected of murder and drug dealing. He also created an inappropriate video on how to uninstall McAfee software. John McAfee told the BBC that he was “elated” by Intel’s decision.

“I am now everlastingly grateful to Intel for freeing me from this terrible association with the worst software on the planet. These are not my words, but the words of millions of irate users,” said John McAfee.

The full rebrand could take around a year to complete. The red shield will be integrated into the rebranding process.

McAfee Security started a few decades ago. John McAfee founded the company as a side project in 1987 and grew it into a full-time business. He left the company in 1994. Intel acquired McAfee in 2011 for around $7.6 billion.
