Sony is building an Oculus Rift virtual reality headset competitor called the HMZ-T3Q

Sony HMZ-T3Q
Sony Corporation is currently building a virtual reality headset that would compete head-on with the Oculus Rift. The HMZ-T3Q is a virtual screen that can reach up to 750 inches. It looks like a virtual reality helmet and it sits on top of your head.

“The head-mounted display is a theater on your head,” stated Michael Fasulo, Sony Electronic’s president and COO.

The helmet can detect your movements. It can detect when and where you turn your head and it allows you to focus on that scene.

Whole I am excited to learn more about the Sony vr headset, I was disappointed to learn that the feild of view is only 45 degrees vs the oculus rifts 110… so this isn’t really a competitor, just seems like Sony is being a little lazy and they just slapped a tracker on their Mobile theater headsets… I was hoping they would at least try to one up oculus
