Intel has built a computer that is the size of an SD card called Edison
Intel continues to surprise us. The company has created a computer called Edison that is the size of an SD card. The Edison has built-in WiFi connectivity and can support multiple operating systems.
Intel CEO Brian Krzanich said that the company’s goal for Edison is to give wearable computing manufacturers an option when needing a computer to power devices.
“Wearables are not everywhere today because they aren’t yet solving real problems and they aren’t yet integrated with our lifestyles,” stated Krzanich. “We’re focused on addressing this engineering innovation challenge. Our goal is, if something computes and connects, it does it best with Intel inside.”
