Ferdinand Puentes took a selfie after a plane crash in Hawaii
This past December, a small passenger plane was flying near Kalaupapa, Molokai in Hawaii. All of a sudden, a few sirens went off and warned passengers that it was going to crash into the Pacific Ocean.
Ferdinand Puentes took out his GoPro camera and strapped it on as the passengers prepared to escape. While Puentes was floating in the water after the escape, he took a selfie using the GoPro and you can see the plane sinking in the background.
Puentes said that he was waiting for a while until the Coast Guard was able to get there and help out. In an interview with KHON in Hawaii, Puentes said that he was swimming with steel toed boots, heavy work jeans, and a long sleeve shirt so it was pretty exhausting.
