Beats Music streaming service is arriving on January 21st for $10 per month
Beats by Dre is getting ready to launch Beats Music. Beats Music will compete against Spotify, Pandora, Rdio, and iTunes Radio. The service will be launching on January 21st for $10 per month.
AT&T is offering a special deal as part of a bundle. AT&T will exclusively offer a family plan for five accounts at $15 per month.
Beats Music distinguishes themselves by offering a feature called “right now.” This feature automatically generates a playlist based on your setting.
For example, you could say that you are “‘in the wilderness'” and feel like ‘energizing’ with ‘my wingman’ to ‘dance-pop.'” This would play music from artists like Lady Gaga. You can also “follow” artists, like tracks, dislike tracks, and pick genres.
Beats works with music experts like Scott Plagenhoef to pick out the right music for each category.
Beats Music will be available on iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and desktop browsers. If you are interested in the service, you can claim a username now on BeatsMusic.com.
