Google has launched AdSense Direct to allow publishers to easily set up direct ad sales

Google has announced a new tool for publishers called AdSense Direct. This service lets publishers sell ads directly without having to deal with some of the complexities involved in using DoubleClick for Publishers, iSocket, and OpenX. AdSense is currently only available in the U.S.

Advertisers can make deals with the publishers through AdSense Direct regardless of whether they have AdWords or not. Publishers can send potential advertisers a link to the AdSense Direct campaign page and the publishers just need to upload the creative and pay for the ad.

Google will take a 15% commission for AdSense Direct transactions, but will handle the invoicing and billing using Google Wallet. There are no upper or lower limits for the impressions served. Advertisers pay for the day or a longer time period. Each campaign has a max. time of 90 days.

If you have an AdSense account, you should be able to see the AdSense Direct service by clicking on the “My Ads” tab of your account at the top. If you have any other questions, you can read more on the FAQ here.
