Freelancer.com recently completed a successful IPO on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2013. Freelancer’s shares jumped to as much as A$2.60 in November and the company hit a peak market capitalization of A$1.13 billion. Freelancer.com has just hit the 10 million member mark.

Freelancer.com is used for connecting businesses with skilled developers and designers in over 30 languages and over 600 job categories.

“Freelancer.com is helping to put small businesses at the heart of world economic growth,” stated Freelancer CEO Matt Barrie. “In an increasingly competitive global market small businesses are turning to freelancers to outsource short term projects in skill categories they do not necessarily have the resources for. By tapping into a global talent pool like Freelancer.com a small business can operate like a major corporation on a shoestring budget.”
