The Esurance Twitter contest received 200,000 entries in one minute
Esurance ran an ad right after the Super Bowl ended. The ad received over 2.1 million tweets with the hashtag #EsuranceSave30 and around 200,000 of those tweets were received in the first minute. The viewers wrote a tweet as part of a contest to win $1.5 million.
Esurance also increased their Twitter follower count by 90,000 since the commercial aired, according to Mashable. Now @Esurance has around 120,000 followers. Esurance was also the top trend on Twitter for most of Sunday and was still a top trending topic on Monday morning.
The campaign hit around 1 billion impressions as a whole.
Esurance spokesperson John Krasinski stars in the ad and will reveal the winner on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday.
