Apple buys iOS beta testing company Burstly
Apple has acquired Burstly, a company that develops iOS beta testing platform TestFlight. Burstly is known for their mobile app management platform, which offers mobile analytics tools. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
“Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans,” stated Apple company spokeswoman Kristin Huguet in an interview with Re/code.
TestFlight allows developers to find out how well in-app purchases and advertisements are performing. The service also shows what version of iOS that people are using and why their apps are crashing.
